Historic – including visits to Pula - the historic capital of Istria, Pazin with its museum / castle overlooking a spectacular gorge, Porec with its Euphrasian basilica and amazing mosaics and a host of well preserved hilltop fortified towns and villages; Motovun, Labin, Rovinj, Oprtalj, Pican, Groznjan, to name just a few! Croatia is very proud of its history and Istria has a great proportion of it.

| Cultural – including a variety of music and other festivals,
churches and monasteries with beautifully preserved frescos, art galleries and museums.
During the summer season there are traditional music fairs and interesting
evenings out with accordions and other Istrian instruments playing
the night away.

In the fifteenth century a famous artist painted beautiful bible stories all around the walls of a little chapel in the middle of nowhere! Why? So you could visit them of course! |
| Activity - including horseriding, walking,
cycling, (delivered direct to the door), go karts,
4x4, quad bikes, windsurfing, climbing, table-tennis, golf, paint ball, grape and olive picking
and so much more. We like being challenged and often have been in the
past. So far we have amazed ourselves just how much variety there
is.

Away Days – for those who want to venture further a field, we can organize full day trips to Venice, the Postonja caves and Lipizaner horses in Slovenia, the stunning Plitvice lakes in central Croatia, even an airplane trip down to Dubrovnik. If you prefer to explore together as a family in the car then Zagreb is a fantastic city to drive to, Ljubljana and Lake Bled are beautiful, in fact there is too much in too short a time! But we always say Istria has it all and more so why venture further a field!

Sometimes pictures speak a thousand words and
Plitvica must be all the books ever written. Although it is a very long
day there and back it can be done (and has been!) Alternatively we can
arrange a place for you to stay for a night.
